Just a short drive from the hotel and you find yourself surrounded by spectacular colors, the scents of heather and grasses, and fresh pure melt-water in the high burns
The Angus Glens which include ten 'Munros' (mountains of over 3,000 ft), and miles of narrow twisting and bendy roads. They offer great delights and challenges for drivers, hill walkers, and nature lovers alike.
Arguably the most beautiful of the Angus Glens is Glen Clova, north of Kirriemuir, Hidden away behind a maze of country roads, northwest of Brechin, lies Glen Lethnot, where the local stream was used by illicit distillers who secreted their stills in the corries. The track is known today as the Whisky Trail.
Another hidden gem is Glen Prosen, where the narrow, twisty road on the western side is a real drivers' road - sweeping from bend to bend.
Look out for a summer Osprey in Glen Isla, or visit a Royal stopover at Invermark Lodge and Loch Lee in Glen Esk, where Queen Victoria once stayed.
